Charentaise Floor

The Charentaise pebble floor that I have been following in the posts HERE and HERE has now been finished.

I have not seen it yet, but the owners, who spent many hours working on this floor, pebble by pebble, have sent me the following photographs.
Nearly there!

and finished.

It is very impressive and I am sure that they must be very proud of what they have achieved. Well done you two.

  40. What a stunning floor... I once came across a Roman tile floor under a scattering of dirt in an ancient site in Greece and wondered about the people who made it... (I didn't disturb it...just felt so blessed to have seen it, touched it, in its natural state) Your friends have done something not only beautiful but lasting!
    Blessings!
