What you will see when I return to posting again at the end of June (I hope!),

What with all the post-holiday effects and so much to do on our return home, I will not be blogging regularly for a while yet!   We are extra busy catching up with house and garden, especially with the fruit trees, which are heavy with fruit, so they are very time consuming. Added to that, we have visitors coming!  I  posted my daily diary here by mistake the other day, but despite removing it fairly quickly and putting it in the correct place, there were a number of comments, and then emails from people who could not see the post. Sorry, but it is now at its proper place at http://photodiarydps.blogspot.com.  I have also moved the comments there as well.   The other reason for holding back is because I do not currently have the time to properly visit all your blogs and I have sooooooo many photos to edit!!!

Here is a small photographic taster, from our travels outside the Charente, with much more when I get back to normal:-)
A visit to Carcassonne. A historic fortified French town in the Aude department,  not  far from the Mediterranean.
A trip to Barcelona in Spain.
Part of our sumptuous stateroom on the cruise ship Liberty of the Seas.

The gymnasium on the ship.
A visit to Monaco, just before the Formula 1 GP took place
The Sphinx room on board ship.
Mount Vesuvius, just outside Naples
Snow on the Pyrenees - a rare sight in May, we are told!
Off to the UK!
'Visiting' both our families at Haycombe Cemetery near Bath
A visit to my grandparent's old house at Batheaston.  Sadly the two garages have been built in front of it, so it was impossible to see it properly!
Back home in the Charente, a blackbird takes a bath.
The bees are busy
as are the butterflies. This is "Small tortoiseshell" Aglais urticae

    1. Marjie I hope that everyone enjoys it as much as we did. It will be slow so don't worry about that. I am beginning to think that blogging is a winter occupation when not so much to do in the garden and the house!! Hope that all is well and I love your new puppy :-) Diane

  18. Well, you've definitely been seriously busy. I'm very jealous of the stateroom. I've been to the Pyrenees in May, but it was so foggy that I'm not sure if there was any snow or not.

  19. What a trip! I tried to see this before and it wasn't working. good to see it's back again to see all those wonderful pictures! Love the sites and imagine it must have been a fabulous trip... so many places.

It was awful to see the garage in front of the house. I had something similar happen when I saw my gramps old place that had undergone some horrid changes... didn't look like an old castle anymore!

  20. DEAR DIANE, WHAT A PITTY WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN FRONT OF YOUR GRANDPARENTS HOUSE, IT IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, BUT THOSE GARAGES HAVE NOT MADE IT ANY BETTER.

I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR RETURN AT THE END OF JUNE TO READ ALL ABOUT YOUR WONDERFUL TRIP. TAKE GOOD CARE AND ENJOY THE SUMMER WORKS AND THE VISITORS. BIG HUG

I too, took a week off from blogging, we went to another state and had an early summer vacation. Good for you, you have posted already, I haven't had the chance to post any of mine lol.

PS. Sorry if my blog is giving you trouble about the G+..

    1. Rose all G+ blogs are giving me trouble, maybe because I have a slow connection, I do not know. I cancelled it because I could not get my own blog to work!! This was a very special trip thanks to a very good friend who hosted the cruise for us. We would never have gone with out him. Keep well Diane
