I have really had a run of blogging luck, the fortunate recipient of three giveaway wins in the last month, and then on Friday I had the pleasure of meeting the Happy Frog.
The Happy Frog lives in a very happy house with a very happy owner. I so enjoyed meeting them both, and over a cup of herbal tea (the only tea that I drink) and a delicious slice of battenburg cake, we just talked and talked. I felt as if I was meeting an 'old' friend, and that we had known each other for ever. Thank you Froggy for a delightful morning and I hope we manage to meet again in the not too distant future. Please go and visit the Happy Frog HERE. In her own words: “In 2005 I moved to Reading from London and Happy Frog was given to me as a house warming present. We have been through our ups and downs but through it all Froggy has kept me smiling. Now we are in agreement that we want to create a heart-warming, fun, at times surreal, happy blog; chocked full of nostalgia with the quite rare, but still evident, odd serious bit thrown in for good measure.”
Here is a picture of the Happy Frog whispering in my ear! Note the replica of the Tardis on my left, if only I could fit inside!

It is full of beautiful photos around the UK and from time to time updates on the beautiful crafts she makes.
Diane - I can't help thinking that with this much good luck you should go and buy an extra lottery ticket !! Well done.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, It was so brilliant meeting you on Friday. Happy Frog and I enjoyed it enormously. Really look forward to meeting you again. X
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Diane! You're such a lucky lady.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Kristy
What a happy post Diane. Froggy has a very content smile on his face as he whispers in your ear. And I love Diane's (the other one!) work. The Paris collage is fascinating so I am hopping over to her blog now for a peek. And thanks for sharing Dolly Dimple with us, she is indeed a lovely Dolly :-)
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have had a run of luck! As I never run giveaways on my blogs I have not tended to enter them. For some reason I was tempted into entering a book giveaway recently which I have won! Think I might enter a few more as always grateful for books. I will now go and visit the new friend perched on your shoulder Diane :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations !!!!
ReplyDeleteTey are very nice !!!
Greetings
Jean we have 2 lottery and 2 euro million tickets running but not a sign of even 1 cent from them :( Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks Happy Frog it was a lovely morning. If we don't meet here then I will see you in France :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteKristy I had a reallly lucky run and I have won some lovely give aways. Diane
ReplyDeleteDolly it was a happy post and I enjoyed so much meeting happy frog and winning Dolly D. Hope you enjoyed (the other) Diane's blog. Diane
ReplyDeleteLindy for someone who is not normally lucky I had a fantastic run. I want to do another give away but it will have to wait until I get back to France as all my jewellery making equipment is over there. Hope you enjoyed meeting the Happy Frog. Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks Magda for your comments. Take care. Diane
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing.. time to buy a lottery ticket if you are on a winning roll!
ReplyDeleteThe prizes are sweet but I must say... the tardis caught my eye. Is it a toy??? So adorable for Dr WHo fans! We used to have to get bootlegs of the series over here but now we have BBC America and it even plays on the SYFY channel from time to time.
Great idea to make those dolls for fairs and such... a new cottage industry for handy folks ( I can't sew a stitch!).
FIngers crossed for your lottery win!
You have been quite fortunate. I just have to say, that is a beautiful photo of you. Thank you for sharing. It is so nice to have a face to connect to the writing. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteI can tell she has gone to a good home. xxx
ReplyDeletelostpastremembered, yes the tardis is a toy but it is quite large. The Happy Frog lives in a home with many exciting bits and pieces around, many with smiley faces.
ReplyDeleteI think my luck has now run out but I still have a ticket! If you are not in it you can't win it :-) Diane
Susan thank you for your very kind comments. Have a good week. Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane (the other one) LOL. Yes she has gone to a good home be assured of that. I am just looking forward to getting my machine out and see what I can produce :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteIt is So fun to meet other bloggers, like old friends. You are the lucky winner for the month. Love that card.
ReplyDeleteMike and I aren't living together anymore, back to friends.
Gaelyn it is fun to meet other bloggers, especially if they are as nice as the ones I have met so far :-) As for the wins I don't know where the luck suddenly popped up from! Diane
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to meet other bloggers! Glad you had a nice time.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! I especially love the first picture and you know why :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you and Happy Frog and I had a good time! This is marvelous!
Pam it really is fun meeting up with other bloggers especially when they are such fun. Diane
ReplyDeleteOlga it was so good to meet up and we got on so well. Glad you like the photo, it came out very well and froggy seemed so happy :) Diane
ReplyDeleteLittle known fact about our TARDIS is that there is a real working phone in it. Is that cool or what?!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you for all your wins and for meeting yet another blogging buddy ;-) Thanks too for your input on my costing question. I really don't think my friend would pay at the higher end of the sweater. Given it's my first one I'm inclined to keep the price on the lower side and chalk this one up to experience. Even so, she may not want to pay the price. I'm just experimenting to see if these things might be worth making for sale. I think I've learned that this pattern is a special one and is better saved for special occasions. I'll look for something quicker to make next. Good luck with finding a market in France for your crafting ideas :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are really lovely, in addition to being really lucky. Buy several lottery tickets :-). It must have been wonderful to meet with fellow bloggers. I hope you have a great evening. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeletesincere people. This is such a great community! I am so glad to be in it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Diane :) have a pleasant week ahead, cheers..
ReplyDeleteHappy Frog, no you did not mention that there was a working phone in the Tardis. What was it Alice in Wonderland had to drink to make her small? I want some of that so I can fit in the tardis to zap back and see how they carved the white horse and moved the stones of Stonhenge :-)))) Diane
ReplyDeleteJoyful I agree with you if you want to make things to sell you need to make items that are fairly quick. Time factor in the beautiful jacket you have just made means you really don't get back what it is worth. Diane
ReplyDeleteMary thank you for your very kind comments, I am still waiting for the lottery win, tickets bought :-)))))) Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteQuay Po Cooks, how right you are, it is a great community and I am so glad I became a bogger. :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteM.Kate, thank you. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteI thought this lovely person looked like you as I opened your blog!! LOL!

ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice picture of you with the happy frog. I'll bet you can recreate the Dolly Dimple, and think up a cute name for a boy version to sell in France. It sure is big! Congrats on all of your good luck; did you go buy that lottery ticket yet?
ReplyDeleteHemma på Landet, wish my Swedish (and French!) were as good as your English Diane x
