I am both amazed and pleased by the number of people with whom I connect on a daily basis, from every corner of the world, through my blog. I thank each and every one of you, many of whom I feel as if I know personally.
As a small token of appreciation to all my readers, I have decided to have a blog giveaway of some of my home made jewellery. To be entered in the draw, you have to leave a comment on this blog post, and be a follower before 30 November. Tell me also why you would like the jewellery and who it is for. I will close all comments for this post on the 30th and randomly draw a winner through random.org, I will contact you through a blog post announcing the winner, and you can then provide me with your postal details. This is open to everyone wherever you are in the world!
Matching zebra earrings and Africa necklace. The earrings have non-allergic hooks.
Wishing you all the best and hope that you win these in time for Christmas.
I just made it #51. Hope you have a big winner soon.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 50 followers!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, the necklace and earrings are beautiful and so unusual. I would love to have them but, selfishly, for myself. It would be nice to be able to wear something made by a blogger friend and a jewellery-making enthusiast.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see more of your designs, too, if possible. Jean
oldmanlincolnsblog thank you, only 49 to go to make the 100 now :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks Bo, I never though that I would have that many people following my ups and downs! Diane
ReplyDeleteJean all my jewellery equipment is in France, I only brought this set back with me as I had decided to 'do' a give away. You can see another photo on the following post http://lifeincharente.blogspot.com/2010/09/bric-brac.html I mainly stick to all S.African styles.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I would also be selfish and keep them for myself :-) Diane
Have never seen earrings with zebra and these are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching your 50 followers. I started my blog for exactly the same reasons as you Diane and I have been amazed at the interest and all the lovely people one connects with in the blogging world, including you of course.
ReplyDeleteThanks JM, they are nice for horse lovers as well. I still have a few zebra charms left but supplies are getting low:-( Diane
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindy, It amazes me daily and it has opened up a whole new world. There some lovely people out there including yourself. Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane,

Quay Po Cooks thanks for following, I hope to see you back soon. Diane
ReplyDeleteWow - they are lovely. I'd love to be in with a chance of winning. Congratulations on your 50 followers - but you do have a lovely and intersting blog - so I'm not surprised. xx
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason, I'm glad you started blogging so I can get to know you. Congrats on 50+followers.
ReplyDeleteI love this set! And would also selfishly keep it for myself and be ever reminded of you and ZA.
Gaelyn thank you so much for the lovely comments. I hope that you are lucky :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I remember your showing an Africian shaped pendant before, but I do not remember the earrings.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful.
If I were to be lucky enough to win, I would give them to my niece (though I would like to have them for myself). She has always been an animal advocate - her father was a veterinarian. She often helped her father treat exotic animals. She is an artist and her subjects have been domestic and wild animals. She could truly appreciate your talents.
The pictures of Chasseneuil are so lovely with her wonderful old buildings. I love all the flowers and hanging flower baskets.
When I look around here and see the tacky strip shopping centers, I am speechless how they spend money in vain trying to make them look better. If they would just clean up the buildings, add nice looking signs and put out more foliage they would save money and have something that at least has a little charm.
Mya your niece sounds like a good candidate.
ReplyDeleteChasseneil is lovely, but there are so many beautiful villages and towns in France. There are also many which could do with a bit of 'spit and polish'! I just wish they would restore the station in Chasseneuil. There is though always many flowers and baskets around the town in summer and they are all well cared for. Diane
thank you for your good wishes.
ReplyDeleteWould love to visit South Africa - big birthday next year - no harm in hoping!
Congratulations on your 50th follower Diane, and well done. I was sorry to see you have had a family bereavement, and hope you are ok.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed you have a post about Oradour sur Glane, which I remember visiting when we were over there, and I agree it was quite disturbing, and a deeply sad memorial. Kathy
Sue I will keep my fingers crossed that you get to S.A. next year. How big is big? :-) Diane
ReplyDeleteKathy, thanks for the commiserations. It has been quite difficult time and it is not over yet!
ReplyDeleteYes Oradour is vey disturbing, or I think so anyway. Diane

Congrats on your 55th follower blog! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I win, I would love to give it to my mom. Zebra is her favorite animal!
Your ranks are growing because they deserve to. I hope that number triples over the coming year. Were I lucky enough to win, I'd shamefully keep the jewelry for myself. I have a traveling outfit they'd be perfect for. I hope you have had a great day. Blessings...Mary

Hi Diane,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving those kind words of encouragement. I loved hearing about your family, and your own French experiences. Well done for learning French! My mother is learning to and finds it difficult; so I will definitely continue and take advantage of my age which positions me to be able to learn languages faster.
Well done on building up your own blog. Your jewelery is very unique! I'm not here to enter the competition...but simply wish luck to those who do, and say thank you to you. Will be back soon to check on your blog :)
Brittany.
Kirsty we do not celebrate thanksgiving in the UK. Perhaps some people do, but I know of no one who does. All our efforts go into Christmas which is just too close for me at the moment. Since I came back to the UK for winter, there does not seem to have been one spare second and I am way behind with just everything concerned with Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteI know you have been a follower for a while :-) Diane
Thanks Brittany for the visit. I wish you lots of luck with your French, who knows we may meet up when you come to France. I hope so. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, thanks for keeping me inform. I'll try to re-enter again.
ReplyDeleteKristy
