Round and About - Aixe-sur-Vienne Part 2

Following on from my Aixe-sur-Vienne Part 1 post, here are a few more interesting photos from the porcelain shop.

I think that has covered the most creative aspects  and the wide range of choice in this large  shop, but I have more photos of the town itself, which will be coming in later posts; watch this space!

  1. I'd be overwhelmed here, too many good things to fawn over and leave with.

  2. Rosaria I have to agree, it was much easier to simply take photographs than to think about buying!! Diane

  3. I love going into porcelain shops, and could spend a lot of time there. Love the bright pink bowls, and the Japanese girl plates. Those pendants are pretty too. That is a good way too look at everything...just check the photos later. :D

  4. Love them all. Wonderful super-dooper selection! Favourites though are in the second photo. This porcelain has such clear lines.

  5. Lyndsey you are right, walk around take photos and then look through them later. There is just too much to take in on one visit. Diane

  6. Olga it is so hard to choose from them when you are there, I agree the 'yellow' photo has very clear cut lines. Diane

  7. Diane I would think I had died and gone to heaven in a place like that. All my money would be given to them and probably the future money too. Just kidding but that is some beautiful stuff.

  8. I love pottery, china, cookware - anything that takes me back to "playing house" as a little girl. I would have been in heaven in that shop !!

  9. Oh how lovely Diane, I'd spend hours in there with you. It will come as no surprise that I like the cat (and dogs) plates :)

  11. Oh Diane, I am loving those Japanese drawing plates. Sooooooo cute! I wonder how much do I need to bring with me when I visit that place in future! hahaha.... Do you think 500Euro is enough for my spending money? I don't think so! hahaha..... And then the other problem is I'm going to have trouble getting them into my luagage as well. :o) Thanks so much sharing with us these beautiful places. Hope you're enjoying your day.
    Love, Kristy

  12. Becca the only way to look around that place I have decided is to keep your hands safely in your pocket. There is just too much lovely 'stuff' to choose from. Diane

  13. Jean it is a fantastic shop but just to much to pick and choose from!! Diane

  14. Dolly I also loved the animal plates, but they are more for decoration than use. I thankfully have no space left for decoration so the plates stayed in the shop! Diane

  15. Sailor you are so right, the collection really is endless. Diane

  16. Kristy packing them in your luggage may not be a problem if you have a good suitcase, but the problem is you also need a good wallet!!!! Diane

  22. Dianne although I have quite a bit of what was 'Rhodesian' pottery, I have to admit to most of my china being English!! Diane

  23. Linda I agree that there is really just to much to take in. I am sure I would never be able to make up my mind if I was looking for a whole dinner service. It is not to bad if you are looking for just a single item, well I don't think so...... Diane

  25. Hello:
What an amazing china shop and one in which we probably could, and most likely should, spend a considerable number of hours. A perfect place, we imagine, for finding a gift or, indeed, something to take home.

Living in two countries ourselves, we have been most interested to read your profile and then to enjoy looking at and reading not only this post, but several of your previous ones. You do appear to pack a great deal into life - always a good thing - and to have much fun along the way.

We are so pleased to have found you through the comment which you left on Dolly's recent post.

  70. these are from the same porcelain shop earlier? wow, it must be really huge!! i also think one got to be careful walking around the shop to avoid hitting or breaking the items especially we ladies like to carry our handbags around and i also remember that there are also items on thefloor, so we just got to look up and down , left and right!! haha!
