90th Birthday Lunch

This is a special blog to record  thanks from my father-in-law to all those of my followers who were kind enough to send best wishes on the occasion of his 90th birthday today, a public holiday in the UK.  We organised a quiet lunch
at a nearby pub, as he wanted and we all enjoyed the  great meal we were served! He was thrilled to receive an impressive list of wishes from all around the world; a special treat on a very special day. Here are a few photos including his raspberry meringue dessert dressed up with birthday candle!

  17. Gosh that 'cake' looked very do-able, especially since I have just had my lunch and all I had for dessert was a kiwi which is not quite the same as that gorgeous pile of sweetness! Wishing the birthday boy and Happy Birthday from us down here in SW France.
