Rapeseed is grown for the production of animal feed, also vegetable oil for human consumption.
Wheat about 8 cms (4 inches) high.
Grapes grow well in this region and they are just beginning to shoot. We are not that far from the famous area of Cognac.
Who can resist this little chap? He made photos very difficult as he just wanted me to keep rubbing his ears!
I like the top pic of that yellow Rapeseed ... and I hope I look as cute as that little shaggy fellow when I grow old ...
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and looks so peaceful there. A quiet moment. Hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely drive. Your crops are farther along than ours. This kind of scenery makes even chores a delight to do. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist that sweet little face.
ReplyDeleteONESTONEDCROW - I am sure you will look that cute, he really was a darling. This is the first field I have seen of rape in full flower, the farmer must have planted early.
ReplyDeleteBecca - I could not wish for a more peaceful place to live. It is always so quiet here. The odd plane passes over but that is about it. Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, Yes it was a lovely drive home and it is all basically on our doorstep. I love it here. Diane
ReplyDeleteBonne journée
Hi Pam, I could not resist him either he really was so sweet. Diane
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure you'd have a hard time not taking a scenic route home!
ReplyDeleteHi Marjie, Occasionally I take the quick route but even that it scenic in this area. Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos and the animals look so content and placid. The last time we were in the La Rochelle area they made the poor creatures wear kind of gingham pyjamas. It was supposed to be some sort of old tradition but really it was for the tourists. They didn't wear pyjamas when we were there ten years before !!
ReplyDeleteLove the route Diane and the little donkey. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jean, I hate any animal dressed up it is so un-natural. This donkey I saw at a riding school just down the road from us. He was a happy litttle chap. Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Joan, The countryside around here is lovely. The donkey was very sweet. Diane
